Is it safe for me to order online?
Security is a priority for us at Jean-Patrique Cookware and we realise it is a major issue for anyone purchasing on the Internet. At Jean-Patrique Cookware we recognise the need for our customers to know that a website is legitimate and that transactions are secure before making any purchase. To answer these issues, our secure server software encrypts your credit card number using a Digital Certificate. The information travels through a secure socket layer (SSL) "pipeline" so it's transmitted directly from your computer to our secure server. SSL is the industry standard security technology used by Microsoft, Netscape, and leading Internet commerce companies - it's one of the most advanced security measures available.
At Jean-Patrique we aim to make it as easy as possible for you to order. With this in mind you can order quickly and easily online using your credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or your Switch/Debit card. You may also place your order over the telephone, using your credit card or debit card, by calling our Priority Order Line which is: 0871 704 8888. Please note if for any reason you need to return single knives, for the safety of the courier, as well as for the protection of the knife, you must sheaf the blade completely, and then double-wrap the entire knife before placing it into a box clearly marked 'BE CAREFUL - CONTAINS SHARP OBJECTS'.
Does Jean-Patrique offer any guarantees?
Yes. All Jean-Patrique Professional Knives and Professional Cookware products are covered by a twenty-five year replacement guarantee, unless otherwise specified, against all manufacturing defects. If during this period, a fault occurs during normal use, please contact Customer Services to arrange for a replacement.
This guarantee does not include deterioration caused by general wear and tear, or damage due to accident, misuse or failure to follow the Care Instructions. Discolouration, scratches, stains and damage from overheating are also not covered by this guarantee.
Do you offer any care instructions for the Jean-Patrique Professional Knives?
Yes, please see below for the care instructions:
Remove all labels, wash in hot soapy water, rinse and dry before their first use.
Use knives with a wooden or nylon chopping board, as use on marble and ceramic chopping boards may dull the blade over a period of time.
Jean-Patrique knives are made of 18/8 carbon stainless steel. The addition of carbon into the knives, like most high quality professional knives, will ensure a continued sharp edge. To maintain this sharpness, we recommend the regular use of a professional sharpening steel. Before sharpening, wet the knife with oil first for greater friction. Always wipe carefully after sharpening, as tiny bits of steel may remain on the blade.
